Boxing as a sport has gone a long way in the history. This is why, more and more people are trying out boxing as their means of getting fit and healthy. Boxing provides a total workout because of the different boxing technique drills that target different areas of the body. Some modern boxing techniques are jab, cross, hook, and uppercut punches; slip, bob and weave, block or parry, cover-up and clinch defenses; peak-a-boo, cross-armed, and Crab positions. All these aim to outwit and defeat the opponent. The jab, of course, is common and known to all as the straight punch using the lead hand while maintaining the guard position. Boxing is a sports that gained the attention of people all over the world. And being a boxer is no joke, must have the physical and mental toughness. Techniques and technical know how is badly needed in this sport. For example; to have a fully upright stance, the boxer stands with their legs shoulder-width apart. The rear foot is placed half-step behind the lead foot. Orthodox or right-handed or boxers have the left foot and fist ahead. Both of their feet are pointed just inward. If the boxer is right-handed, the left hand is their lead hand and the right hand is their rear hand. The positions are reversed for some left-handed boxer. Some fighters are In-fighters, they are often considered the most enjoyable and exciting boxers to watch. This technique and style favors closing inside an opponent, and then overwhelming them with some flurries and intensity of uppercuts and hooks. They tend to be very agile on their feet which can make them very difficult to evade for some slower fighter. They also tend to have a very good chin because this usually attack and involves being hit with many jabs before they can take charge and maneuver inside where they are more effective.
